Non-Credit Lecturer-Plumber



NON-CREDIT LECTURER
Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development

Tunxis Community College is seeking a P1 Plumber, non-credit lecturer, to teach Continuing Education to Plumber as mandated by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. Instructor(s) teach within a year’s time approximately 75 - 120 hours. Classes will be centered at the Tunxis@Bristol campus of Tunxis Community College.

Instructional experience and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You must be a P1 Plumber
  • Ability to present to a large group.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop curriculum for the program within the parameters dictated by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching or group training experience.
  • Practical experience in the trade of plumbing and construction.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the industry trends and workforce needs.
  • Knowledge of State and local plumbing statutes and have a working knowledge of municipal inspection.
