The Business and Technology Division at Columbia-Greene Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position for our Business Administration program, to start in January 2022.  We are seeking a passionate educator who shares the College’s commitment to educating a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population.

 

The successful applicant will teach a range of lower-level courses from across the discipline, so should have comfort with at least 3 of the following areas: management/entrepreneurship, marketing, economics, accounting, business law, human resources, analytics, finance, or operations management.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any position.   • Teach a full range of courses in the Business Administration area. This may include day/evening courses in a variety of modalities (in-person, fully online, etc.)
  • Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to enhance instruction, curriculum, student success, and student completion. Update existing program and course curriculum as appropriate
  • Maintain expertise in current teaching methodologies, technologies, and curricula while developing new instructional materials and techniques to meet the changing needs of students.
  • Participate in the development and/or selection of course materials, equipment, technology, and distance education that will enhance offerings of the department.
  • Assist with the management of student learning outcome (SLO) creation and assessment.
  • Serve as a member of department, division, and college committees.
  • Participate/organize required Advisory Board meetings and maintain Advisory Board meeting minutes.
  • Support new and existing local business partnerships that serve the best interest of our students.
  • Perform other duties as required by contract, collective bargaining agreement, and general institutional needs in a timely manner.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Masters, PhD or other terminal degree in business administration, management, public administration, or related specialty areas listed above. ABDs are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.

 

Salary and Benefit Information

Contractual salary and rank will be commensurate with education and work experience.
