Job Summary

This is a one year limited term position. Continued employment is based on the continuation of extramural funding and is subject to renewal on an annual basis.

The Outreach Coordinator will work together with the faculty Principal Investigator and 3 project managers to plan, coordinate, deliver and manage outreach activities to accomplish the outreach goals and objectives including, communications, participant recruitment and retention, educator training support, direct program delivery, and data collection for evaluation and research. The job responsibilities will span across three projects focused on prevention program evaluation and delivery and evaluation of relationship education for youth and couples.

Essential Functions

This position involves a number of distinct responsibilities that include 1) Conducting site visits virtually or face-to-face to train and support prevention program sites on evaluation and data collection methods and processes; 2) Assisting with collecting, processing, entering, and maintaining relevant databases to ensure accurate and accessible records on program outreach and outcomes. Assisting with analyzing of data; 3) Assisting with preparation of results for presentation to the funding agency Board, the partner agencies, stakeholders, and at conferences to include written results, reports, and facilitated discussions; 4) Assisting leadership team with outreach for relationship education programs for targeted groups of youth and couples; assessing program needs, recruiting, organizing program materials; evaluating success of program implementation; 5) Assisting in the development of marketing plans and publicity materials for distribution to target audience; 6) Meeting with clientele primarily in the Lee County and surrounding areas to define needs or problem areas and providing follow up case management to enhance program retention and effectiveness; 7) Developing and conducting in-service training which includes youth relationship education program design and delivery and continuous quality improvement; Providing technical assistance to youth relationship education sites and near-peer facilitators and monitoring program quality and fidelity; and 8) Assisting with instruction and management of student research assistants and service learning students in tasks related to the projects; 9) Coordination with Leadership Team on compliance with university and federal policies and report preparation for funder, stakeholders, and academic audiences.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

Level III requires 2 years of relevant experience. Must be fluent in English and possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience providing community presentations.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent. Experience with programming that serves low-resource individuals and families. Experience coordinating the implementation of outreach programs at remote sites; experience in coordinated outreach efforts with community agencies. Experience facilitating prevention programs and/or relationship education programs. Experience working with domestic violence victims advocate organizations. Demonstrated experience in statistical methodology and interpretation in an applied research setting. Experience providing presentations for academic and lay audiences at the local and national levels.
