Working Title: Competitive Sports Coordinator Official Title: Student Services Program Manager I Employment Class: Non-Instructional Academic Staff FTE: 1.0 Compensation: $48,000 FLSA Status: Exempt Terms of Employment: 12-month, annual, fixed-term renewable Position Summary:

The Competitive Sports Coordinator position provides comprehensive competitive sports program management for UWO Fond du Lac, Fox Cities, and Oshkosh Campuses.

50%: Manage the Competitive Sports Program on the Fond du Lac and Fox Cities campuses to ensure the long-term viability of the campuses’ competitive sports teams and plan for the addition of competitive sports teams based on student interest

15%: Actively market the competitive sports programs and recruit participants by collaborating with University Marketing and Communications, attending fairs and interest meetings and other events, maintaining relationships with area high school athletic directors, managing social media accounts, and more

15%: Manage the Sport Club Program on the Oshkosh Campus, to include assisting with budget development, implementation, and oversight, assist with management of all club operations including budget, travel, risk management, advisors, and coaches, and monitor and approve all activities

15%: Manage the Intramural Sport Program on the Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, and Fox Cities Campuses by developing and coordinating seasonal sport leagues and weekend tournaments based on student interest, recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating student employees, assisting with the budget, and more

5%: Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree

Strong skills in: diplomatic communication, customer service orientation, attention to detail, collaboration and team orientation

Strong commitment to student development, diversity, and inclusive excellence

Ability to identify solutions to work related challenges (includes developing and maintaining harmonious relationships in the work unit and within the university)

Ability to work within unit, campus, system, state, and federal policy Preferred: Master's Degree in Recreation, Athletic Administration, Sports Management, or a related field

Experience within recreation program, specifically competitive sport programming within higher education in a shared use facility concept To Apply:
