Rhode Island School of Design is seeking a Digital Advertisement and Content Manager to join its Continuing Education Division. The Digital Advertising and Content Manager develops, deploys, and manages digital advertising and content that engages various target audiences and support the business goals of raising brand awareness, converting prospects to enroll, and retaining students. This position coordinates and executes paid search, display, and retargeting campaigns within search advertising platforms and develops paid social media campaigns to drive results. It also deploys digital marketing solutions to increase market penetration through paid and organic placement, audience targeting, budget allocation, content, implementation, and optimization. Manages the planning, organization, and delivery of assigned digital media content for advertising campaigns from intake to project completion, ensuring projects are delivered within technical specifications, on time and within budget. The incumbent acts as a liaison between the Programming and Marketing teams in order to develop and manage structural marketing operations that facilitate internal and external collaboration efforts to support forecasting, planning, marketing production, campaign performance, technical implementation, and reporting efforts. This position also reports campaign progress on a regular basis and is responsible for debriefing departmental projects to provide future optimizations and next steps that support business goals.

Essential Functions

  • Manage, deploy, maintain and test advertising campaigns across digital platforms including, but not limited to: Google, Bing, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor, track, and optimize program advertising budgets.
  • Provide input to and manage digital marketing operations processes including: campaign briefing, content production, content organization, stakeholder feedback and approval, deliverable archiving, and project/term debriefs.
  • Manage content production workflow and editorial calendar, ensuring on-time, on-budget paid media campaigns.
  • Develop social media content strategies for each program that are designed to be relevant to the program’s target audience and correspond with marketing funnel strategies of awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Direct and guide student social media assistants in organic social media content creation, curation, and editorial calendar.
  • Create monthly reports, competitor benchmarking and project debriefs using departmental feedback and analytics tools to track campaign KPIs and inform campaign optimizations that are shared with the marketing team and key stakeholders.
  • Manage partnerships with external agencies to support digital marketing integrations by building and maintaining acquisition/retention pixels on websites and within marketing platforms to ensure the tracking and eCommerce tags are installed correctly in order to accurately collect and monitor user data.


Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in marketing communications with responsibility for social media, web and digital marketing
  • At least 2 years understanding of enrollment marketing management required
  • Demonstrated success with social media, web content development and managing paid promotion campaigns via Facebook advertising and paid search
  • Proficiency with web and social media analytics tracking and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Experience in writing, editing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must possess knowledge of best practices and digital marketing and social media standards, as well as awareness of current trends in marketing, digital media and communications technology
  • Ability to stay abreast of and effectively use new modes of communication as they evolve
  • Experience managing production of web-ready digital content, both video and still graphics required
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and best practices related to graphic design
  • Must be able to manage relationships, projects, budgets, develop analytics reports, and pitch new ideas
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment and under tight deadlines. Must be able to balance multiple projects and competing priorities, while maintaining composure and strong relationships
  • Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and work effectively with multiple diverse populations
