POSITION:                   Faculty in Business Administration (Tenure track)

 

DEPARTMENT:             School of Professional Studies

 

DATE OPENED:           Consideration of applications begins immediately

 

STARTING DATE:        January 2022

 

SALARY:                      Competitive salary and excellent benefits package. Nine-month contract with potential for summer appointments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a 12 hour load per semester of online and onsite undergraduate and graduate courses;
  • Advise and mentor students during the college experience and in career preparation;
  • Provide service to the College and actively participate in campus life on main campus in Peru, NE;
  • Demonstrate active professional development and contribution to the academic discipline;
  • Pursue continuous improvement of instructional practices;
  • Implement student engagement practices in and outside the traditional learning space;
  • Work effectively with a diverse student population, many of whom are first generation college students. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Business Administration or Juris Doctorate required at the time of application. Rank to be determined based on qualifications.
  • Ability to teach a wide variety of courses including Legal Environment and Contract Law, Employment Law, Commercial Law, Organizational Ethics, and Conflict Management and Mediation.
  • The capacity to conduct research independently and collaboratively with other faculty and with students.
  • Experience and/or strong commitment and interest with increasing student success and engagement, particularly of underrepresented students. 
  • Experience/interest in online instruction and integrating technology into courses strongly preferred.
  • Successful teaching experience is preferred.
