The Assistant Director, reporting to the Senior Director Annual Giving will provide a high level of support to the Annual Giving team.  Working in a team environment, the Assistant Director will provide research, reporting, record keeping, data management and support to advance the strategic plan goals for Temple Health Institutional Advancement (THIA).

Responsibilities include: provides a high level of support to the Annual Giving team, including but not limited to: assists in the development and implementation of ongoing campaigns; executes various aspects of annual giving communications including: appeals creation and mailing (both print and e-mail), follow-up communications, briefing materials, and post campaign evaluations; partners with the annual giving and donor relations teams to identify donor data and giving trends, provides detail reports for donor analysis and planning that improve effectiveness of fundraising and stewardship activities; assists in management of various logistical needs for events related to RSVPs, guest lists, and maintenance of donor and prospect records; assists THIA on events days; executes a variety of day-of event materials including registration information, nametags, signage, etc.; enters information into the donor database to track cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities; provides support to the Communications, Donor Relations and Event teams as assigned; assists in managing vendor invoices and coding for payment, representing THIA on the phone and through correspondence, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and at least four years’ experience working in a fundraising setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:

*Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, including advanced database skills.

*Demonstrated familiarity with Banner, Cognos and Reheer reporting functions.

*Demonstrated expertise in manipulating data and producing reports.

*Demonstrated organizational skills, along with the ability to multi-task and successfully complete projects with competing deadlines.

*Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading skills.

*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population.

*Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented.

*Ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment.

*Demonstrated professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information.
