Admin Support III - Concurrent Enrollment

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
The Admin III fulfills a key role in providing clerical and administrative support to the Senior Director of Concurrent Enrollment and the department staff. Additionally, the position provides support to the department's Admin II positions, helping them coordinate the needs of the various directors. Coordinates and facilitates meetings, program functions, and/or special events as appropriate. Exercising outstanding initiative, judgment, creativity, and discretion, this position works collaboratively with many campus departments, high schools, and students/parents. Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the Concurrent Enrollment program.
  • Experience working with high school teachers and university faculty.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Skills in organizing resources and priorities, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Skills in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, databases, and presentations.
  • Skills in the preparation and interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and phone etiquette.
  • Always maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
  • Follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Must demonstrate professional demeanor and poise.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to gather data and evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan and anticipate potential changes and act accordingly.
  • Ability to enact strategic changes affecting multiple stakeholders, including high-level university leadership.


Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in event support preferred College degree/certificate preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a normal office environment.

Pay Range: $31,052 - $38,816
