Employee & Labor Relations is a unit within Human Resources in the Finance and Administration portfolio. Finance and Administration is a vibrant and varied portfolio serving all aspects of campus life. Our employees perform a wide range of functions including offering essential financial tools and support to the university's many departments, providing key resources to employees, and keeping campus safe, clean, accessible and beautiful.

Position Summary
The Employee Corona Case Manager will coordinate case management activities for University employees who have tested or are presumed positive for COVID-19. This position is part of the Employee and Labor Relations team in the University's Human Resources department, reporting to the ADA and Affirmative Action Coordinator and Associate Director of Employee and Labor Relations.
The Case Manager receives reports regarding positive or presumed positive cases of COVID-19 and conducts outreach to affected employees and their managers regarding isolation, return to work, leave resources, and remote work options if applicable. The Case Manager serves as a resource for University employees regarding testing and other requirements. The Case Manager will also coordinate with other University departments such as Safety and Risk Services in the event of workplace exposures. The Case Manager interfaces with the case management and testing team to identify unvaccinated employees who need to schedule weekly COVID-19 testing. The position is responsible for obtaining and maintaining required records, including record of case management activities, return to work forms, etc.

Two full-time positions are available. Positions will be fixed-term starting immediately and lasting for up to one year. Weekend and evening work may be required. Time worked on weekends and evenings is dictated by the number of cases.

This position is intended to work remotely, conducting case management contacts via phone or web conferencing (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).

Minimum Requirements
  • Two years of experience working with employees in a human resources management, higher education, public health, or other relevant employment setting.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally regarding sensitive subjects.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Fluency in Spanish or other language.
