Associate/Full Professor of Education Chair of the EdD Leadership Program

Description: Charleston Southern University invites applications for a faculty position (Associate or Full Professor) in the College of Education beginning January or June 1st, 2022. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.  Rank is commensurate with experience.

Required qualifications: 

• D. or Ed.D. in Education in from a regionally accredited institution.
• Administrative experience in higher education
• Experience in higher education and qualification for the faculty rank of associate professor or higher.
• Candidates should have experience teaching at the doctoral level.
• The candidate should have an active research agenda or evidence of scholarly activity/work.
• Directing or serving on committees for the PhD or EdD degrees is preferred.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience growing programs
• Passion for promoting educators of excellence.
• Demonstrated use of data-based decision-making models and experience in assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Flexibility, ability to communicate with varied constituencies, and ability to work across disciplines.
