The Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a full-time, permanent, tenure-track Assistant Professor-Veterinary Medicine Extension position located at it's campus in Pullman, Washington.

The position will actively engage in outreach and collaboration with agricultural animal producers and employees, industry stakeholders, government representatives, veterinary practitioners, and the statewide network of Extension educators. It will also engage in scholarly pursuits in collaboration with other faculty in the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Resource Sciences, focusing on agricultural animal health research and field disease investigation.  It will engage in the education and training mission of the the College of Veterinary Medicine throughout its professional DVM program, graduate and potentially undergraduate curriculum.

Required Qualifications: D.V.M. or equivalent degree and earned Ph.D. in population health, epidemiology or related field are required by the appointment start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in agricultural animal health with an emphasis on population health of production agricultural animals.

  • Experience communicating with veterinary practitioners and agricultural animal owners.
  • A record of scholarship commensurate with the number of years of post-graduate experience.
