Position Summary:

The Undergraduate Admissions Administrative Support position is part of the Operations Team in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The Administrative Support role provides critical support throughout the admissions cycle working in a high volume, deadline driven environment.

This position is a document processing and data entry role that requires excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills. Ability to perform highly repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency is critical. The incumbent is expected to exercise significant amounts of independent initiative and judgment, as well as a strong administrative, problem solving and analytic ability. Experience working effectively in both an independent and team setting is required.

Experience with Excel, SIS (Student Information System) and ImageNow is preferred. Experience with managing data in multiple technology environments is also preferred.

Familiarity with international and domestic educational documents a plus.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

1. Knowledge and understanding of the use of personal computer software (Word, Excel, Access).
2. Knowledge and understanding of internet applications and e-mail system.
3. Knowledge of SIS (Student Information System) preferred.
4. Knowledge of scanning systems (ImageNow) preferred.
5. Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to meet and deal effectively with people and maintain an effective working relationship with staff.
8. Strong administrative, problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Ability to work with diverse populations.
10. Ability to work independently exercising judgment, taking initiative and seeking improvements and solutions to problems.
11. Excellent keyboard skills with high percentage of accuracy.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility. This position is 50% to 75% time, with a maximum of 29 hours/week. The Administrative Support position is expected to begin in September and end in late February. The actual start date will be determined at the time of hire. Actual end date will be determined by the supervisor and may extend through June 2022. This is a Madison based position with the option to be remote. This position requires some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 8 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $15.25 HOURLY
