Job Description:

The Program Manager of Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides strategic planning, develops, promotes, coordinates and manages CTE programs within Miami Dade College.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Manages the coordination of programs within the Career and Technical Education department including the development, revision and promotion of CTE programs
•Assists in developing strategies to create and expand current and future CTE programs
•Assists the CTE Director with managing the fiscal integrity of the programs and evaluates and assesses, and reports enrollment, fee income and expenditure
•Coordinates College’s responses to Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), CTE reports, data requests and initiatives
•Creates and manages marketing strategies for new and existing programs within the community using a variety of mediums
•Participates in the development and implementation of CTE Policies and Procedures
•Works with public and private agencies in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating CTE programs, as appropriate
•Serves as liaison between M-DCPS and other business/industrial/service community partners, as appropriate

Minimum Requirements:

•Master’s degree in related field and two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or a Bachelor’s degree in related field and six (6) years of related experience
•Knowledge and familiarity with relevant information systems, databases, and software applications in an educational setting
•Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures
•Knowledge of current developments/trends in area of expertise
•Excellent knowledge of project management
•Ability to supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling
