Baylor University announces a faculty opening for Church Music (Associate or Assistant Professor Rank). Appointment date: August 2022. Responsibilities: Conduct widely recognized research and/or creative activity marked by quality, impact, and visibility in the study of music in/of Christian communities; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in church music; maintain active participation in a local church music ministry; build and maintain relationships with church leaders; supervise dissertations and theses; other duties as assigned, according to qualifications and departmental needs. Qualifications: Research Doctorate (in hand at start date); established record of or strong potential for widely recognized scholarly research and publication and/or creative activity required; previous practical involvement in music ministries of the church required; record of college teaching preferred. Rank and Salary: Tenure-track position; rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
