Job Description:
The Associate Dean of Faculty Workload serves as the Miami Dade College lead for Faculty Workload functions, provides leadership in academic planning, oversight of faculty course and task points appropriate designations, and support in related matters. The position serves as a strategic academic affairs liaison with college-wide academic and student services functional areas.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Leads the management, configuration and integration of Campus
Solutions Faculty Workload functionality across the Campus
Solutions Finance and HCM pillars
•Develops and implements process improvement solutions to Workload
issues relating to faculty payments, class scheduling, academic and
curricular processes
•Develops and schedules reports in coordination with IT that are
necessary to audit the Faculty Workload system data accuracy. Sends
stated reports to affected campus or department for follow-up
action as needed. Communicates recurring issues to
leadership.
•Oversees and manages the performance of Workload environment,
coordinates IT system support and ensures problem resolution in a
timely manner
•Provides recommendations on best practices, process and system
enhancements and seeks resolutions to system and user issues
related to Academic Affairs and workload. Works with Department
Chairs, Deans of Faculty and other administrators to identify
business processes, system requirements and implementation
tasks
Minimum Requirements:
•Master’s degree in a related field from a regionally accredited
institution and six (6) years of administration experience in
higher education
•Proven and related experience in PeopleSoft
•Knowledge of college curricula and instructional programs
•Knowledge and familiarity with technology infrastructure,
including PeopleSoft Information Systems, databases and
software
•Advanced knowledge in technical aspects of Campus Solutions
