The Department of Biology at the University of Hartford has an opening for a tenure track Assistant Professor starting in August 2022. The candidate is expected to be a broadly trained Biologist who can specialize in teaching the Anatomy and Physiology sequence. Additional teaching responsibilities will depend upon the candidate’s specific area of expertise. There will also be opportunities to teach in our innovative Interdisciplinary Studies (UIS) curriculum. The candidate is expected to develop an independent research program that can involve undergraduate students and will lead to publications. Service activities including advising and participation in recruitment and retention efforts are expected. The candidate is also expected to demonstrate a commitment to working with a diverse student population. Applicants should have a PhD (advanced ABD will be considered) in Biology or related fields. Prior teaching and postdoctoral experience are preferred.
