POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Assistant to the President & Dean is a full time, exempt staff position. This position supports the President & Dean and develops and maintains effective working relationships with CDSP staff, faculty, students, members of the Board of Trustees, donors and friends of the school, GTU partners, and other community members. The Executive Assistant will be able to handle and keep private confidential and sensitive matters of the school. The Executive Assistant represents the President’s Office and CDSP at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the President’s Office.
  • Manage daily calendaring and travel arrangements for President & Dean, and Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Process correspondence for President & Dean.
  • Be the liaison to and for the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Board.
  • Adhere to confidentiality rules and all other CDSP policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that promote CDSP’s mission and core values.
  • Assume other related responsibilities and special projects as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Significant experience assisting senior level executives
  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Perceptiveness to foresee the needs of the President & Dean, readying items required for meetings
  • High degree of attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
  • Aptitude for working well as a member of a team
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Experience in event planning

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in non-profit management
  • Knowledge of The Episcopal Church and higher education (preferred)
