The University Writing Program at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for the position of Lecturer to begin August 16, 2022. The position is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure accruing appointment with the possibility of renewal and an opportunity for advancement in UF’s lecturer track. The University Writing Program is a thriving, independent unit offering a wide range of writing-intensive courses in areas such as themed critical thinking and writing, discipline-focused writing, and professional writing. The positions require a PhD in Composition and Rhetoric or in a related content area.

Experience teaching in one or more of the following areas is required: Scientific Writing, Public Communication, Environmental Rhetoric, or New Media and Technologies. Preferred qualifications include a strong interest in experiential learning, such as establishing student exchanges, leading study abroad courses, or pursuing community-based outreach. The teaching assignment is 4/3 with possible course release for the development of significant experiential learning initiatives. The salary is competitive and includes a full benefits package.
