Statistical and Research Analyst

 

Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Statistical and Research Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Analysis.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to: creates data reports and visualizations for routine and ad hoc requests; analyzes multi-institutional level files utilizing SAS and other statistical software; automates processes for routine reporting to improve efficiency; designs and develops annual and special institutional reports for internal and external reporting requirements; develops reports for all academic and student support services utilizing a variety of platforms and systems; conducts training for platforms and systems and provides support for all users; interprets survey results, analyzes data for report presentation, and prepares and presents reports, using SAS software or other comparable statistical packages;  performs inferential and descriptive statistical work in the design, analysis and presentation of complex quantitative and qualitative research and statistical studies; plans and develops research sampling, collection, analysis and presentation methods and procedures; and performs other duties as needed by the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Analysis.

 

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantified data are required. A master’s degree in statistics may be substituted for the required work experience. A master’s degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science or related quantitative discipline is preferred.

SC State Pay Band: 05.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.  Some in-state travel is required and occasional overnight travel in-state and out-state.
