The Opportunity:

The College of Business, Security and Intelligence at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position in our Department of Global Security and Intelligence Studies. This position can be either tenure track or non-tenure track depending upon the candidate’s education level. To qualify for a tenure track a candidate must have a terminal degree in their field or be able to complete their terminal degree within a year of being hired. The teaching load is generally four courses per semester for non-tenure track and three to four courses per semester for tenure track with scholarly research and meaningful service to the university, region, or profession also expected.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in intelligence analysis and writing, as well as other security and intelligence courses appropriate to his or her own expertise and College needs. He or she will also demonstrate the ability to excel in teaching in the Global Security and Intelligence Program.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona campus is respected worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow’s aviation, aerospace, business, security and intelligence leaders. Prescott is a mile-high city and its climate reflects seasonable weather excellent for flying. Daytime averages are 80°F in the summer and 45°F in the winter. At 5,000 ft. above sea level, it boasts a mild climate, clean air, pristine wilderness areas, and nearby national forests. The university is a small, private, residential university in the mountains of Arizona with approximately 3,500 students. Staff/faculty/student interaction is highly valued and is a central theme of our campus. It is located 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a master’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Decision Sciences, Data Analytics, or related fields (Ph.D. strongly preferred) and at least 2-3 years of related work experience in the government or private sector .
