Job Summary

Academic Support at Auburn University is seeking a highly-collaborative staff member to serve as a supportive ambassador of office-wide programs. The coordinator will serve as an advocate and campus promoter of both the available programs, as well as student employment opportunities within the office. Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Course Support, the coordinator will manage and facilitate outreach efforts including hosting presentations, facilitating workshops, and attending major events hosted by campus partners throughout the year. As the office champion for high-quality, campus-wide communication efforts, the coordinator will promote programs and services via promotional materials, website content, social media, and outreach initiatives with the goal of expanding students’ and campus partners’ awareness and use of available services. Recognizing the critical role of the front desk experience for all visitors and callers, this coordinator will supervise a team of undergraduate employees to serve as front desk representatives and support their learning and growth as members of Academic Support.

Essential Functions

Develops, implements, and evaluates student-focused services or programs.

Collaborates with departments, committees, and individuals throughout the University to advance and enhance the effectiveness of the service or program.

Develops and coordinates effective educational outreach, marketing, and training strategies and materials.

Develops and manages reports and information used to enhance service or program effectiveness.

Provides support to other Academic Support initiatives as needed.

Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates students, staff, and interns in designated programmatic areas.

May assist with budget responsibilities for a program.
