The Opportunity

The University of Florida’s Talent Acquisition & Onboarding office is seeking an engaging and innovative talent acquisition professional to join the Strategic Talent Group , the University's Internal Executive Search Team.

As strategic consultants, our passion for UF and our understanding of the culture and values of the UF community enable us to find the very best talent to meet the particular needs of each recruitment opportunity. By identifying, attracting, and engaging the strongest talent, we contribute to the Gator Good.

In this position, you will serve as a consultant, partner, and coach to hiring departments across the university, identifying and attracting highly qualified applicants – including passive candidates - and developing and implementing premier recruitment strategies.

In addition, the Talent & Engagement Consultant will develop relationships with community organizations, local and national associations, academic institutes, and programs in an effort to increase the University of Florida’s visibility as a desired employer. Talent & Engagement Consultants are essential to building engaging and positive recruitment experiences for candidates and our campus partners ensuring the first steps toward a positive and rewarding career in the Gator Nation.

The roles and responsibilities of a Talent & Engagement Consultant are to :

  • Providing full-cycle talent acquisition services utilizing creative sourcing solutions, conducting interviews and assessments, and coordinating interviews and other search logistics for critical staff and faculty roles.
  • Serves as lead by managing executive searches and serves as human resources consultant to faculty and staff and advises managers.
  • Facilitate information sessions, attend events, and coordinate events to build the University of Florida’s visibility as a premier employer.
  • Leads and participates in broader Talent Acquisition & Onboarding strategic programs or initiatives that advance the use of best practice recruitment strategies for the UF Community.
  • Source diverse talent for faculty and staff positions and develop talent pipelines through proactive relationship building and management.
  • Leverage social media platforms in collaboration with the University of Florida’s Human Resources communications team to develop and implement compelling strategies to engage a broad audience.

Expected Salary:

$53,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Broad range of full-cycle recruitment experience across disciplines and levels.
  • Knowledge of current recruitment trends and experience with and developing metrics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage projects, ability to see the big picture and attend to the details
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and authentic relationship with others
  • Professional behavior and demeanor, comfortable interacting with people at various levels and from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience utilizing social media for recruiting, marketing, or other professional purposes
  • Experience and commitment to building diverse candidate pools
