Our Health and Wellness Clinic encourages students to achieve, protect and sustain a healthy campus learning community. The clinic offers a range of services from wellness exams and sports physicals to counseling. TheDirector of Health & Wellness Clinicleads and administers the clinic, including providing direct patient care, campus-wide public health efforts and health promotion programming.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to patients visiting the clinic for acute illnesses, annual physical exams, sports physicals, study abroad physicals, injuries, mental health and psychiatric issues, chronic illness and more.
  • Set the clinic vision and supervise the clinic staff including providers and staff leaders including clinical providers, a psychiatrist, office leadership and student workers, many of whom may be students in our nursing programs.
  • Meet the health care needs of our students with limited resources in a way that integrates their mental and physical care.
  • Manage the creation and roll-out of campus-wide health promotion activities and programming
  • Develop clinic policies and procedures that achieve university strategic objectives and that align with our mission, vision and values.
  • Oversees fiscal management for insurance billing, operational and personnel resources, and establishing, reviewing, and editing policies and practices related to student health
  • Represent the office in university events and programs, occasionally on evenings or weekends
  • Collaborate with other departments across campus to support the health and well-being of our students
  • Convene with local, regional, and national experts, other providers, national associations, and vendors to secure cost-effective, modern, and relevant information and consultation on student health-related practices
  • Respond to occasional emergency situations and times of crisis as outlined in the University’s emergency operations plan

Minimum Qualifications
  • MD,FNP,DNP, NP or an equivalent terminal degree in a relevant health care area
  • Five years of experience caring for patients
  • Experience related to clinic administration and clinic staff supervision
  • Knowledge of public health applicable to a college or university setting
  • Experience working in inter-professional teams and delivering care in a culturally competent manner
  • Current licensure in area of practice

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with college student populations and with college students in a health-care setting
  • Experience taking initiative on matters related to student health
