Position: The Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Florida State University seeks candidates for a full-time (9 month) tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate is expected to develop an extramurally funded research program that will strengthen and complement the department’s ongoing research activity. The salary and startup package are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in nutrition, physiology, or related discipline and have significant postdoctoral training or postgraduate experience. They must demonstrate a record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and evidence of extramural support for research activities. Preference will be given to applicants conducting research related to nutrition and diet with regards to improving health and physical performance.

Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be expected to: (1) develop/maintain a nationally and internationally recognized extramurally funded research program, (2) contribute to the department’s teaching and service efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and (3) recruit and mentor graduate students.

The department offers undergraduate majors in Athletic Training, Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, and Food and Nutrition and graduate degrees at the master’s and doctoral level in Exercise Physiology, Nutrition and Food Science, Sports Nutrition, and Sports Sciences.
