Job Purpose: Teach graduate courses, conduct research, supervise dissertations, and serve on committees.

Essential Functions: Teach graduate courses in counseling and supervision, and supervise dissertations; engage in an active scholarly research agenda; service on University and Departmental committees; and service to community and professional organizations.  Ability to teach online and other alternate delivery methods.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program. Must demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to diversity and collegiality. University teaching experience at the graduate level, and experience supervising dissertation research/collaborating with doctoral students publishing counseling research. Ability to teach online required. Potential to develop and conduct externally funded research in counseling or related areas. Experience commensurate with the rank of appointment. Licensed in Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: Research experience in topics relevant to rural settings such as addiction, program evaluation, multicultural counseling, etc. Strong expertise in statistical methods used in counseling research.

Salary and Benefits: Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2022. Tennessee Tech offers a competitive benefits package. Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
