CLE Social Media & Project Specialist (PT)

Salary: $20.00 per hour

MVCC is seeking to fill a part-time (20 hours per week) position in our Center for Leadership Excellence. The Social Media and Project Specialist performs as the team leader responsible for telling the Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE) story to external and internal audiences. Plays an integral role in special projects and public/media relations, communications, and content creation for the organization. Coordinates and implements the creative process for bringing compelling marketing content to all media and deliverables used by CLE. In addition, provides project management for the Executive Director of CLE and departmental staff by coordinating projects and services on behalf of the organization.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Promotes the story of CLE by creating original and written content for use in advertising, community relations, and media relations campaigns. Marketing touchpoints include social media platforms (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) media outlets, and Constant Contact;
  • Tracks and responds to social media conversations about CLE, provides oversight of non-staff social media ambassadors, and creates processes for promoting CLE via social media;
  • Assists CLE with the management of public relations-related correspondence and requests;
  • Measures and optimizes paid marketing using vendor-specific dashboards, Google Analytics, and marketing analytics reports;
  • Stays up-to-date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep CLE ahead, including updates to social media platforms;
  • Serves as primary web content manager for CLE;
  • Contributes to and coordinates processes for marketing and collateral materials relating to the organization’s ongoing recruitment and donor solicitation efforts;
  • Assists with the coordination of communication-based organizational initiatives and projects (i.e., utilizing Survey Monkey to obtain information and feedback from sponsors, employers and alumni);
  • Provides logistical support for events and programs in addition to uploading social media content in real time;
  • Provides support, as necessary, to assist in recruitment for program enrollment;
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned by the Executive Director of CLE.
Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in public relations, marketing or related experience.
  • Experience using social media platforms.
  • Self-starter, dependable, ability to problem-solve in both cooperative and individual settings, attention to detail, and strength in interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within the local area.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry standards required for social media, web, public relations, advertising, design, print production and experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A valid driver license at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
