Position Summary:

Project coordinator and administrative support to the Kacar laboratory on lead projects. Responsibilities include administrative, budgetary and communication related activities for a new NASA Astrobiology Research Center, Department of Bacteriology. Providing support to the PI and other collaborators/research labs, ensuring goals and objectives are met according to set timeline. The Kacar lab's area of research includes origins of life, astrobiology, early life and evolution, systems and synthetic biology, molecular paleobiology.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

No Degree Required. Preferred familiarity of research areas, but not required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience with similar areas of responsibility.

Initially, this position will be 50% FTE; increase to 100% as the role progresses.

8-Noon, Monday through Friday. This position requires some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
