The Medical Program Assistant provides administrative program
support to the faculty and staff within the Department of
Obstetrics and Gynecology related to clinical patient care,
teaching, research service, outreach and other activities.
Additionally, the Medical Program Assistant will provide necessary
support for coordination of outpatient and inpatient provider
services and may include working with electronic health management

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
- 6 months of experience providing administrative support. Relevant
undergraduate work experience or internship experience is
- Experience using Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook
- One year of experience providing administrative support in an
office setting. Relevant undergraduate work experience or
internship experience is acceptable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal
skills and techniques.
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external
contacts and patients.
- Ability to work independently and to problem-solve.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to transition effectively between tasks to maximize
efficient use of time.
