Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Health Sciences and
Director of Nursing, the incumbent is responsible for teaching,
supervising, and evaluating undergraduate pre-licensure associate
degree nursing students in a clinical or laboratory setting.
Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a
culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff,
and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written
communication skills along with strong Information technology
literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,
Master’s degree in Nursing with one (1) or more years of clinical
experience; or a combination of education, training and experience
that is equivalent and in compliance with the State Board of
Nursing regulations and program accreditation standards.
Unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Connecticut
Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
- Proficiency in the skills and knowledge related to the assigned
area of nursing practice.
- Clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation
- Use of various assessment methods to evaluate student
performance in clinical settings.
- Comprehensive familiarity with accreditation standards in

requirements, which may include background and toxicology

Under the direction of Program Director, the clinical educational
assistant is responsible for the supervision, instruction, and
evaluation of nursing students in the clinical agency and clinical
laboratory setting by effective performance in these essential
