The Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology (NEP), Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Washington State University Health Sciences Spokane, invites applications for a permanent, full-time, tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor appointment. Duties: Tenure-track faculty members are expected to teach and advise undergraduate and graduate students; develop and conduct a program of independent, collaborative, and/or cross-disciplinary research, leading to peer-reviewed publications; pursue internal and external grant funding; and provide service to the department, college, university, public and/or profession. We are seeking applicants with a research focus in clinical- or community-based populations. Applicants will be expected to teach courses and conduct research in exercise science.

 

Requirements: An earned terminal degree (e.g., PhD) in exercise science, kinesiology or related field. Health fitness or clinical certification through ACSM desirable. Candidates in ABD status are eligible to apply, but the terminal degree must be earned prior to the negotiated start date. Candidates with demonstrated postdoctoral research experience preferred.
