Purpose of Position
This position supports the retention initiatives of the University. The coordinator will work within a team and utilize proactive outreach strategies to identify students in
need of support and provide direct student service to individual students. Primary Responsibilities
Will interact with faculty and staff, primarily in the divisions of Academic Affairs and Student Affair to support retention efforts. This position will implement University
retention programming by: maintaining student caseload, utilizing campus wide student
success platforms, collaborating with campus support services, promoting and
facilitating success networks, assisting with the development and implementation of
innovative and proactive outreach strategies, and presenting to campus constituents.
Will serve on University committees and represent UCAP at campus events and
programming. Qualifications
Master’s degree in student development, education (postsecondary), psychology,
counseling, communication, or related field with 2 years of experience or Bachelor’s
degree with 4 years experience and related experience.

Must have skill using Microsoft Office.

Must have ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Have ability to interact with students, staff, and faculty at all levels and work as a
