Purpose of Position
The Haile College of Business at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position. The expected start date for the position is August 2022.

Candidates from all research areas in finance are welcome to apply. Current teaching needs include coursework in financial markets and institutions, corporate finance, financial management, and investments. Fintech and financial engineering knowledge and research experience are a plus. To support faculty research, NKU subscribes to Thomson Reuters Datastream. Summer research support is available each year on a competitive basis. The standard teaching load for an assistant professor in this position is a 3/3 teaching load at both the undergraduate and graduate level which continues after tenure by maintaining active scholar status. Qualifications
Preferred candidates will hold a Ph.D. or DBA in Finance from an AACSB -accredited program. ABDs with evidence of imminent completion of their degree will also be considered. Candidates will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of financial management, corporate finance, financial markets and institutions and investments; will teach both in the classroom and online; will be expected to publish quality peer-reviewed academic research; must be willing to participate in engaged service; and, must have a commitment and sensitivity to fostering a working and learning environment which is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds with a team of faculty and staff that contributes to the collegiality of the department and college.
