Position Summary
The University at Buffalo School of Nursing ( SON ) invites applicants for an Adjunct Instructor position for graduate programs for clinical and course teaching. This is a part time appointment to teach in the SON in the graduate, and Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP ) programs. Responsibilities include classroom and online didactic teaching, mentoring, supervising, and evaluating students in clinical and simulated learning environments. Responsibilities also include planning, developing and implementing evidence-based, innovative, and interactive learning experiences for the adult learner across classroom and clinical learning environments for undergraduate and doctor of nursing practice ( DNP ) students.
• Maintains clinical nursing expertise and adheres to ethical and professional nursing standards of practice.
• Complies with State, University, Clinical Agency, and professional regulations/requirements.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, across the spectrum with students, faculty, and interdisciplinary roles.
• Collaborates with faculty to plan, design, implement, and lead classroom, laboratory/simulated, and community practical student learning experiences.
• Establishes collaborative and positive working relationships that respect the dignity, worth, and culture of students, faculty, staff, colleagues, peers, patients, families, communities, agency nurse managers, and interdisciplinary agency teams and staff. Participates in agency/organizational/unit orientations.

Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s Degree is required for Clinical teaching and two years clinical experience along with a national certification as an advanced practice nurse.
A Doctorate is required from an accredited School for most didactic teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate in Nursing is preferred.
