Summary of Job Duties:Under the Associate Director of Programs and Business Operations, the Business Operations Coordinator is responsible and accountable for shared services functional areas of procurement, p-card, and travel processing.

The Coordinator manages the Department Administrator training function, which includes delivery of the comprehensive college-wide training program directed toward procurement, p-card, travel, and business affairs related policies and procedures.

The Coordinator will be the point of contact in the Dean’s office for department administrators on all procurement, travel, and other business operations related matters.

The Coordinator will process procurement, p-card, and travel related transactions on behalf of other departments as needed.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a major in sociology, public administration, management or a related field

  • At least two years of experience in program administration or related area



Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the qualifications listed above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience with procurement, p-card, and travel at the University of Arkansas

  • Experience with the University Workday system

  • Experience with processing business services related transactions in Workday



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and database management

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated professionalism

  • Ability to comprehend and assimilate technical and business-related documents

  • Ability to conduct research and prepare reports

  • Ability to manage Excel spreadsheets

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to multi-task and to be detail oriented



Salary Information:

$31,950
