Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships

Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa has an opening for an Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships. This position is eligible to work at one of our BVU office locations in Ottumwa, Fort Dodge, Sioux City, Creston, Carroll, Estherville, Mason City, Marshalltown, or on the Storm Lake campus, and will support the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Buena Vista University in areas of cultivating partnerships with leaders in schools, industry, and business. Core activities of this position include relationship building, partnership development and maintenance, business outreach, and community relations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to develop new partnerships with business, industry, schools, the military, and non-profits and grow existing relationships
• Collaborate within the Strategic Partnerships Division to identify and develop innovative ways in assisting current and future partnerships with professional needs
• Work collaboratively with staff in other BVU offices in planning and implementing business/community engagement activities to effectively represent and promote the institution and help increase student enrollment, professional development, and strategic partnership opportunities
• Coordinate, attend, and support community engagement activities in identified key areas of influence
• Effectively utilize standard office software applications to prepare correspondence, presentations, statements of work, and other detailed comprehensive reports as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3-5 years of experience in higher education and/or managerial position in sales, business, or related field preferred
