This Office of Academic Assessment at the University of Oklahoma (OU) invites applicants for the position of Program Administrator of Academic Assessment and Instructor.  Major responsibilities of this position are two-fold: (i) Conducting data analysis of and preparing reports regarding all institutional assessment surveys (OU Student Satisfaction Survey, Academic Program Review (APR) Surveys, and the National Survey of Student Engagement [NSSE]) and (ii) Teaching university level Psychology courses.

 

The successful individual will be working in a team-based environment and will collaborate closely with other staff members and faculty.  Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Managing national and university-wide surveys (e.g., NSSE, OU Student Satisfaction Survey, APR surveys).
  • Conducting analysis of quantitative and qualitative data gathered in surveys and assessment events.
  • Teaching introductory applied statistics courses in psychological research.
  • Preparing instructions materials including but not limited to course syllabus, lecture notes, examinations, and posting grades to a course management system at the end of every semester.
  • Meeting with students individually or in groups to respond to any questions regarding course materials, contents, etc.
  • Preparing reports, PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, infographics, and visualizations for assessment data/findings.
  • Creating online surveys and assisting academic departments in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Serving as the administrator/primary campus contact for the institution-wide assessment tracking & reporting system.
  • Assisting with preparation of accreditation and state assessment documentation.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of faculty training activities.
  • Conducting research on assessment of student learning.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned by the Director.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with statistics and analysis software (SPSS and/or SAS).
  • Advanced experience with survey research/design, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and reporting.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of data extraction techniques and experience in working with large data sets.
  • Experience using TracDat assessment management software and Qualtrics survey software.
  • Demonstrated experience with report building/data visualization software (i.e., Power BI).
