Position Summary:

RN COVID-19 Testers assist with the collection of samples and oversee testing performed by others. Duties include overseeing health technician testers, explaining how to perform the test, observing employees and students who are self-administering the test, and coaching on proper testing techniques. This position requires wearing personal protective equipment and standing for long periods of time.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Associate's Degree

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Experience as a nurse (ambulatory, inpatient or operating/procedure area), including knowledge of infection control and disease transmission principles
Experience overseeing the work of others (nursing assistants, medical assistants, techs) or charge nurse experience
Competent in the use of a computer
Willingness and ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for several hours

License or Certificate:

Active Wisconsin RN License

Please note: Salary posted is the minimum. Experience will be considered.

Successful candidates must:
- Work October 4th through December 30th, ideally, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am to 5pm
- Reasonable requests of time off will be considered
- Part-time opportunities may be considered, but must be able to 8 hour days
- Preference will be given to candidates who can work full-time
- Wear personal protective equipment for long periods of time
- Be vaccinated against COVID-19

Work Schedule:

Testing hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a one hour lunch break. Most shifts will last 8 hours. There are both full and part-time positions available, but preference will be given to candidates who can work full time. Min 20 hr/week preferred

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 3 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $32.00 HOURLY
Depending on Qualifications
