Syracuse University’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering ( MAE ) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Aerospace Engineering, commensurate with qualification and experience. The successful candidate is expected to advance the Aerospace Engineering Program by performing world-class research in Aerospace Engineering and by providing excellent instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates who can cover fundamental courses in the general areas of Aerospace Engineering, such as Fluids, Aerodynamics, Aircraft Performance and Dynamics, Space Technologies, and Emerging Technologies in Aerospace Engineering. Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned doctorate, or its professional equivalent, in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field by the date of appointment. It is anticipated that the appointment will begin in August 2022. Job Specific Qualifications Responsibilities
The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of the Departments’ mission, including sponsored research, teaching, supervision and advising of undergraduate and graduate students, and other service responsibilities.
