Clinical Associate Professor, Counseling Psychology

The Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University invites applications for a full-time Clinical Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology.

The Counseling Psychology and Applied Human Development Department believes that the cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is vitally important to the distinction and excellence of our research and academic programs. To that end, we are especially eager to have join our ranks a colleague who supports our institutional commitment to ensuring BU is inclusive, equitable, diverse, and a place where all constituents can thrive. In addition, we seek candidates with a background in educating EdM in Counseling and PhD in Counseling Psychology graduate students in culturally responsive service delivery, recent clinical experience, and a record of publishing within Counseling and related fields. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership for training in the master’s and doctoral Counseling programs, to teach graduate-level courses, to take a leadership role in developing and overseeing an in-house Counseling Clinic, and to provide service to the university and profession.

This Clinical Associate Professor position begins July 1, 2022. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate in Counseling Psychology or a related field
• Established record of teaching graduate-level courses in counseling and/or Counseling Psychology
• Licensed Psychologist, ideally with 5+ years of post-licensure experience in practice
