Job Description:
Fairfield University’s Economics Department invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Dolan School of Business to begin Fall 2022, with a focus on macroeconomics. Candidates must present a successful, demonstrated record of teaching economics courses, both basic and advanced. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester and is expected to advise and mentor students, participate in department and university meetings, actively participate in department, business school and university committees as requested and work in a collaborative manner with colleagues. Teaching will be primarily at the undergraduate level, but will likely include participation in a growing number of graduate level programs as well. Candidates should have a commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom.
The successful candidate will have a PHD in Economics or be ABD with a confirmed plan toward completion prior to the September 2022 start date.
