Job Summary/Basic Function
The School of Aeronautics currently delivers residential undergraduate courses and flight and ground instruction (including simulators) for Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Certified Flight Instructors, Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Safety Management, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and Aviation Administration. Residential Faculty member will have the education, experience, a Biblical worldview, and a passion to support our mission of training Champions for Christ to impact the aviation community.
We assign qualified faculty to instruct Aeronautics course in one or more of the following disciplines:
• Flight training academic courses (ground instruction, weather, flight course faculty of record)
• Human Factors
• Aviation Safety
• Aerodynamics
• Unmanned Aerial Systems ( UAS )
• Aviation Management
• Aviation Dispatch
• Aviation Research
• Other Aviation-related courses
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 5-years’ experience in aviation-related disciplines, a Master’s Degree in Aeronautics and/or a Doctorate with Aviation-related coursework/research ( ABD acceptable) is preferred.
Must have a completed Master’s Degree and a minimum of 18 hours graduate-level Aeronautics coursework, along with a strong aviation practitioner background spanning at least 5 years. Applicants with an Aeronautics Masters, currently working on or having completed a Doctorate, and a calling to serve in a ministry-related academic role are most highly sought.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate with Aviation-related coursework/research ( ABD acceptable) is preferred.
