Summary of Job Duties:The Resident Hall Specialist is supervised by the Dean of Students, and is a full-time professional staff member of the Department of Residential Service. This staff member is responsible for providing overall management and leadership in the residential building(s)/areas housing each resident. Principal responsibilities include residential education, community development, crisis management, building management, student conduct, hall organization, advising, summer operations and other departmental/university-wide responsibilities.

Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of experience working with college student social and academic programs, or related area, including one year in a residential setting or related area. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
