About the Position:
The Office of Records is committed to serving students and the campus community by providing quality service that facilitates enrollment, retention, and degree completion, while maintaining accurate academic records for the University. We are also responsible for processing transfer credit, maintaining articulation agreements, with other institutions. Additionally, we register new and continuing students for classes, maintain academic records, prepare transcripts and diplomas, and reviews petitions for exception to University Policy. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Articulation Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under general direction of the Associate Registrar, the Articulation Analyst is the first point of contact for all issues regarding articulation. The Articulation Analyst facilitates the development, maintains, and oversees all college articulation information and transfer credit agreements, including the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC), California State University General Education Breadth (CSU GEB), Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT, or SB 1440) and other state-wide transfer agreement programs. Performs other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs plus two years of related experience.

Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of progressively responsible experience in Admissions and Records, advising, or within an academic department, requiring analysis of complex General Education requirements and development of solutions/rules to address multifaceted issues. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or unviersity preferred.

Successful experience in articulation or college student services program that includes working knowledge of articulation and intricacies of curriculum. Experience in the Articulation process with the CCC, UC, and CSU systems and independent colleges and universities. Experience with degree audit performance tools such as DARwin, u.Direct, and u.Achieve. Experience working as transfer credit or admissions/graduation evaluator.

Knowledge of CSUF policies and procedures. Understanding of CSU Executive Orders, including policies and procedures pertinent to the General Education curriculum.

Ability to use a PC, Microsoft Office, and database student record systems such as PeopleSoft, ASSIST, u.Achieve, and FileNET.
