By building upon successful existing programs, and by designing and creating innovative new programs that achieve the highest levels of quality care delivery, the inaugural Chief of Adult Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery will significantly contribute to the design, creation and establishment of the nation's newest leader in high-quality heart care, based in one of America's fastest-growing and most dynamic cities.

The inaugural Chief of Adult Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery will be provided with the resources and governance structure required to build a distinctive and outstanding adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgery program in what will become the internationally renowned Cardiovascular Health Institute (CVHI).
