CET - Stem OutReach Coordinator

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Students and guidance from the Dean and Associate Dean, College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Utah Valley University in Orem UT, is looking for a Full lime Outreach Coordinator. In collaboration with the department chairs, the candidate develops and implements a plan targeting qualified students from Middle/Jr. High, High schools as well as community colleges for various CET programs. The candidate will also help organize events and participate in events organized by the university, CET or the individual departments. May be required to work variable hours (evenings, weekends) depending on scheduled events relating to the position. They will be expected to, organize events and collaborate with other colleges at UVU and organizations outside UVU. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent of two years experience in high school student counseling, marketing, communication, or education.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
35% Works with teachers and guidance counselors, develops working relationship for visiting classes, recruiting, and college participation in student projects.
20% Develops, implments and participates in various events and projects planned by the College of Engineering and Technology
15% Stays abreast with state-of-the-art technology and marketing principles and trends pertaining to students in higher education Uses analytics to evaluate effectiveness and puts forward appropriate adjustments in Stem activities.
10% Collaborates with the university offices, such as media, marketing, academic departments, admissions, financial aid, student success, student affairs, and others engaged in recruitment and retention.
10% Works closely with and provides guidance to student advisors, and works to build the relationship between GET and prospective students.
10% Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree in an engineering and/or technology or related fields.
Background in technology and engineering is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a normal office environment.

Pay Range: $30,652 - $38,315
