Job Description



PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The PT Online Instructional Tech I provides a robust and reliable learning environment for online instruction. He or She provide critical and non-critical training and support for currently supported, evolving, and emerging online learning technologies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform just in time training and support utilizing live chat and ticket-based inquiries, as well as phone and in person meetings
2. Keep faculty and students abreast of best practices and emerging technology including the update or production of training documentation, as well as in person and virtual training
3. Implement, test, and maintain high quality online technologies utilizing project management, knowledge management, and industry standard best practices
4. Consult with faculty to recommend and implement online tools in their courses and update course design using current best practices
5. Stay abreast of emerging online technologies and trends
6. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.



WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

• Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Specialization in technical area as required

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $23.40
