Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases seeks a candidate to serve as the Wisconsin Antibiotic Stewardship (AS) Coordinator. This position is a member of the Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) Prevention team at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health, Bureau of Communicable Diseases, Communicable Diseases Epidemiology Section.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Masters degree in public health, health policy, epidemiology, medicine, pharmacy, or other related field required. Doctoral degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

3+ years of experience in applied public health, healthcare infection prevention, or infectious diseases preferred.

Additional Information:

Preference will be given to candidates with education and experience in the principles and practices of infectious disease surveillance and outbreak investigation and/or infection prevention in healthcare settings. The candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills, and expertise in using standard office productivity software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and one or more data management applications.

Hire will be subject to criminal background check requirements.

A period of evaluation will be required.
