Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing oversight to the campus financial aid operations at multiple locations and assists in the formulation of long-term goals and objectives which shape the overall philosophy and activities of the office.

The position will be posted until filled.

Primary campus location: Gettysburg/York

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years related experience, or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Hiring Range: $46,329 - $57,911

Preferred Qualifications:

a. Knowledge of Banner or similar student information systems
b. Supervisory experience

Job Specific Task List:
  • % - Oversee the day-to-day operations related to student financial aid at the campus and ensure the effective flow of processes; ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and College policies; implement office policies that ensure financial aid practices comply with current regulations and procedures; recommend improvements for service delivery and operating procedures; monitor department budget for compliance with HACC fiscal policies and procedures - (Essential)
  • % - Hire, train, develop, motivate, supervise and evaluate staff consistent with organizational and strategic goals for assigned campus financial aid staff; prioritize, schedule and assign work for all financial aid staff including work- study students; provide technical direction as needed. - (Essential)
  • % - Responsible for all professional judgment decisions at the campus, such as Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and Maximum Semester appeals; serve as a key member of the SAP committee and provides relevant information to assigned campus; review and decide the outcome of dependency overrides and adjustments due to reduction in income requests; resolve high-level complaints/problems from students, departments, outside vendors/agencies; coordinate the Reversal of Tuition Charges (RTC) petition process and serve as member of RTC committee; approve/deny student bookstore voucher requests. - (Essential)
  • % - Represent the department at campus meetings and discussions; serve as liaison between departments, external organizations, the public and other agencies; conduct presentations for on-campus and outside groups, such as New Student Orientation and financial aid workshops. - (Essential)
  • % - Develop expertise in the content area; remain current on trends and new and innovative practices in the field; develop and maintain a network of colleagues through professional organizations and other types of professional alliances. - (Essential)
  • % - Build and maintain effective communication and relationships with staff, faculty, and members of college leadership; travel to various HACC locations to conduct and participate in meetings, training, and events. - (Essential)
