The salary range for this position is $64,500 – $107,600. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training.

The person in this role works collaboratively with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs to develop, coordinate, and implement training and ongoing support of all the institution’s electronic portfolio development initiatives. In addition, the person in this role will work with the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs to develop and implement professional development programs for faculty undergoing evaluation and for Department Chairs, Directors, Deans, and Associate Deans, with the goal of improving faculty success in all evaluation processes and enhancing the management skills of academic leadership.

IND208 Duties/Responsibilities
ePortfolio Oversight (40%)
1. Provide guidance and strategies for the preparation and on-line submission of the faculty ePortfolio activity report system, Sabbatical Leave Application, or Reassigned Time Applications.
2. Oversee the Digital Measure Advisory Group that maintains university-wide overview of the ePortfolio activity report system.
3. Liaise with University offices, programs, and departments involved in faculty review, promotion, and tenure activities.
4. Regularly monitor and assess university retention, tenure, promotion ( RTP ) and post-tenure review ( PTR ) processes to determine best use practices for ePortfolio system; identify problems and devise solutions.
5. Serve as Administrator of the ePortfolio system trouble-shooting technical issues, coordinating with vendor to update and improve system, and instituting changes to the system.
6. Stay current with any ePortfolio system changes that might impact faculty participation and understanding.
7. Monitor and update the content of the Digital Measures web pages.
8. Provide technical support for software issues users encounter; respond to and resolve help desk requests.

Faculty Evaluation Programs (25%)
In collaboration with the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs:
1. Conduct workshops to support faculty undergoing retention, tenure, promotion ( RTP ) or post-tenure review ( PTR ) evaluations.
2. Conduct workshops to support faculty applying for Sabbatical Leave.
3. Conduct workshops to support faculty, Chairs, and administrators charged with reviewing RTP / PTR portfolios as part of the faculty evaluation process.
4. Regularly review and update workshop content as needed to ensure consistency with policies and procedures included in the Faculty Employment Handbook.

Professional Development Programs (25%)
In partnership with the Provost, Vice Provost, and HR staff:
1. Develop and implement a leadership development program for Department Chairs, Directors, Deans, and Associate Deans.
2. Develop and implement an awards/recognition program for faculty, Department Chairs, Directors, Deans, and Associate Deans.

Support the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs on initiatives related to faculty excellence (5%)
1. Assist the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs on initiatives designed to implement the vision of the Provost and President, and to operationalize those elements of the University Strategic Plan relating to faculty excellence.
2. Assist the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs on initiatives designed to support equity, diversity, and inclusion among the faculty.

Other duties as assigned (5%)

Required Qualifications
1. Terminal degree in an academic discipline
2. Minimum of two years of working experience in higher education
3. Experience working independently and meeting deadlines/expectations
4. Experience in some form of faculty development programming, including experience collaborating with faculty across disciplines Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience as a tenure-line faculty member
2. Participation in evaluation processes related to faculty retention, tenure, or promotion, as a candidate or reviewer
3. Experience designing training materials
4. Experience in the development of leadership training programs
5. Experience collaborating with shared governance structures such as Faculty Senate, Council of Chairs and Directors, Deans Council, etc.
