The position is designed to train recent graduates to work in research in Diagnostic Medical Physics in an academic department or in medical imaging industry. The postdoctoral position will also introduce the successful candidate to working with private sponsors in funded research as she/he will participate in ongoing research in spectral computed tomography (CT) and interventional radiology (IR) and applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). The facilities available include private office/research space, high performance workstations, a large CPU/GPU cluster facility (HiperGator), and access to CT and IR systems throughout the UF Health system hospitals and clinics.

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in medical physics or biomedical engineering. Demonstrated expreience with tomographic imaging and reconstruction, MATLAB is required. Knowledge of machine learning (particularly deep learning (DL) with a focus on medical imaging, and programming is desired.
